Mission Statement

The Nature Center at The Great Outdoors, Inc. is a Section 501(c) (3) non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote the awareness, appreciation, and conservation of nature's plants, animals, birds, fish, and reptiles.

Mission Statement

The Nature Center building is open daily from 8am - 5pm and is located at 400 Nature Center Trail.  It includes displays of the many facets of wildlife, has an extensive library, an area for the children, an enclosed porch, and a conference room that can be reserved.  Our Membership Program supports the center.

Volunteer Opportunities

There are a variety of activities that are offered throughout the year, including Annual Flea Markets, Spring Festival and Fall Fun Day,  Guided Trail Walks, monthly Educational Programs, and monthly Membership Meetings. Some of these programs/activities are offered from November through March only.

Volunteer Opportunities

The Nature Center is a not-for-profit, 501C3 organization, run entirely by volunteers.  Our volunteers generously offer their time to maintain the center's building, grounds, trails, and plan and execute various fundraisers.

Membership

 Annual membership is $15 per person (Jan.-Dec). Children 12 and under are free with adult membership. Also available is a $500 Lifetime membership which includes all family members living in the same household. Join or renew membership at any of our functions or pick up an application in the Nature Center library.
